The response of a multiplicative antenna to a superposition of a noise
-like signal and interference is considered. The antenna system consis
ts of two spatially separated vertical antennas. Each antenna responds
to one of several acoustic modes. In the narrow-band operation mode,
this system is shown to have high noise immunity and directivity. In t
he wideband mode, the system performance deteriorates due to the frequ
ency dispersion of acoustic waves.
