H. Karlsson et al., ACUTE PARANOID-HALLUCINATORY PSYCHOSIS AFTER AN OVERDOSE OF FLUOXETINE AND ENALAPRIL - A CASE-REPORT, Nordic journal of psychiatry, 52(2), 1998, pp. 153-154
In this report we describe an acute psychosis following an overdose of
fluoxetine and enalapril. The patient had major depression, but she h
ad not previously had psychotic symptoms. The psychosis was characteri
zed by hallucinations and paranoid ideation but no disturbance of cons
ciousness, and it lasted for a few days. She has not had any psychotic
symptoms afterwards. We discuss the possible mechanisms of this react
ion.
