Abstract
The hereditary anemias are a large heterogeneous group of disorders co mmonly encountered in several populations. This article reviews the oc currence of some forms of hereditary anemias in the Lebanese populatio n. Some of these anemias are relatively more common than others and ar e characteristic of the ethnic compositions and the geographic situati on of the country.
