Abstract
An alternative method for determining the dependence of the microstrai n lambda on the biasing magnetic field H in magnetostrictive amorphous ribbons and wires is proposed. Such a technique is based on the depen dence of the lambda(H) function on the biasing field at either the aco ustic stress point of origin or the elastic wave receiving point, in m agnetostrictive delay lines. Experimental results are given, illustrat ing a good agreement between the results obtained by this method and o ther reference lambda(H) function techniques.
