Abstract
Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) methods have been developed to in vestigate the levels of chlorinated hydrocarbons (CHCs), polycyclic ar omatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and nitrogen- or phosphorus-containing pest icides (N/P-pesticides) in soils at river Elbe wetlands. Remarkably hi gh concentrations of CHCs and PAHs were found and a mobilisation of co ntaminants seems probable at one location. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science L td. All rights reserved.
