Abstract
A wave-packet method is proposed to study evolution the behavior of di sturbances in 3-D boundary layer on a swept plate. It is proved that t he constant-phase lines are equivalent to the streaks observed in flow -visualization experiment and the asymptotic solution of wave-packet e quation can give accurate conditions for e(N) method.
