Abstract
We examined the gene expression of angiotensin AT(1A) receptors in aor tic endothelial cells of cyclosporine induced hypertensive rats using reverse transcribed polymerase chain reaction method. The gene express ion of angiotensin AT(1A) receptors in aortic endothelial cells of cyc losporine induced hypertensive rats showed a two-fold increase when co mpared with that in normotensive control rats. These results raise a p ossibility that the up-regulation of endothelial angiotensin AT(1A) re ceptors participates in the pathogenesis of cyclosporine induced hyper tension.
