Abstract
Tri-tert-butylphthalocyanine and 1,8-naphthaimide or 3,4,9,10-perylene bis(dicarboximide) have been covalently linked in close proximity via a C-N bond. Through-bond electronic interaction between the two chromo phores is demonstrated by electronic spectroscopy. (C) 1998 Elsevier S cience Ltd. All rights reserved.
