18-membered hexadentate N4O2 and N3O3 Schiff-base polyoxaazamacrocycle
s derived from 2,6-bis(2-aminophenoxymethyl) pyridine and different or
ganic dicarbonyl compounds are obtained by a template procedure as mon
onuclear lanthanide(III) complexes. In the absence of the metal salt,
macrocycles are not formed. The complexes were characterised by elemen
tal analysis, molar conductivity and mass, UV-V, IR, H-1 NMR and C-13
