Abstract
The synthesis of silicon containing alanines in optically pure form fr om an electrophilic alaninol synthon is described. The overall chemica l yields for the synthesis of the novel amino acids range from 19-39%. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
