Abstract
Reactions of C-60 with iridium cyclo-octadiene dimers containing bridg ing alkoxide groups, Ir-2(OR)2(1)(1,5-COD)(2) (R = Me, Et, n-Pr, Ph), in a 1:1 mole ratio at ambient temperature produced brown solid materi als. On the basis of chemical and single crystal X-ray analysis and IR spectra, formulations Ir-2(OR)(2)(1,5-COD)(2)(C-60) are proposed for these compounds. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
