Persons with epilepsy may experience a variety of neurobehavioral prob
lems, including difficulties with memory and other cognitive problems,
mood disorders, episodic psychosis, and sexual dysfunction. Treatment
can have both adverse and beneficial impacts. Understanding of biolog
ical mechanisms and psychosocial implications of neurobehavioral probl
ems have advanced considerably in recent years, and hold considerable
