Abstract
On the basis of head capsule widths of field-collected lan ae, Lissorhoptru s kuscheli O'Brien was found to have 4 instars. The mean head capsule width s are 0.16. 0.23, 0.34, and 0.48 mm for 1st to 4th instars, respectively. L . kuscheli was recovered from 'Araure 1' from 3 commercial rice growing are as of Estado Portuguesa, Venezuela. Adult densities were higher in Agua Bla nca than in Turen and Durigua, Venezuela. Larval densities suggest 3 genera tions per year in this area of Venezuela.
