Abstract
It is important to determine dominant sonar self noise sources on a ship du e to structural vibration. Much computation time is required for convention al simulation methods like BEM because it needs matrix inversion to determi ne the sound pressure on the radiating surface. In this paper, the simplifi ed simulation method which reduces the calculation by using a vibroacoustic transfer function is proposed. This allows us to estimate the influence of the structural vibration induced by the turbulent flow on the sonar self n oise. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
