Abstract
A rapid quantitative TLC method for the determination of glycoalkaloid s in potato leaves and tubers is described. The method includes a micr oscale extraction, a simple clean-up step and quantification by TLC sc anning. The method is valuable for the determination of glycoalkaloids when many samples have to be evaluated as in potato breeding programm es.
