New photoelectric JHKLM observations were obtained for the star V1016 Ori.
Infrared variability of the system was detected. (UBVRIJHKLM observations a
re used to analyze the brightness of V1016 Ori outside eclipse. Its flux is
shown to consist of the following components: (1) the flux from a primary
B0 V star, (2) the flux from a secondary A0 V star, (3) the flux from an in
frared object (an infrared component), and (4) the flux from a dust envelop
e around the A0 secondary with the temperature T-d = 1600 K and the equival
ent radius R-d = 30 R-.. The magnitudes of the B0 and A0 stars corrected fo
r interstellar reddening are V-1 = 6.(m)03 +/- 0.(m)05 and V-2 = 8.(m)4 +/-
0.(m)2, respectively. The effective temperature and bolometric luminosity
of the infrared component were estimated to be T similar to 3000 K and L-3
= 150 L-.. The infrared component may be in the Hayashi stage.
