Abstract
Vector and tensor analyzing powers (iT(11), T-20, T-21, and T-22) for (6) ($) over right arrow Li + C-12 elastic scattering are presented fo r a (6) ($) over right arrow Li bombarding energy of 30 MeV over the c .m. angular range 15 degrees-138 degrees. The results of optical model calculations made with central, spin-orbit, tensor, and angular momen tum dependent potential terms show that the large angle data for the v ector and tensor analyzing powers are sensitive to the presence of a s tatic spin-orbit term. The nonzero T-21 data show that a tensor potent ial must be included to describe Li-6 scattering.
