Abstract
Treatment of I(CH2)(3)I with anions [M(CO)(3)Tp]-(M = Mo, W) leads to an et a(2)-acyl cyclopropanation product M(CO)(2){eta(2)-C(O)(c-C3H5)}Tp which de carbonylates to give pi-allyl complexes and reacts with CNBut by formal ins ertion of isonitrile into the metal-acyl bond.
