Abstract
In this paper an attempt has been made to apply Fitter equations into the K edem and Spiegler expression of volume flux to obtain an effective method f or calculating osmotic pressure differences across membranes. The agreement between the calculated values and the corresponding experimental results d emonstrates that the method is reasonable and feasible for hyperfiltration processes.
