Abstract
This paper addresses a new approach, the optimal path estimation method (OP EM), to implement the time optimal bang-bang control. OPEM is based on feed back information obtained by estimating the distance from the present state to the switching surface along the optimal trajectory. A fuzzy algorithm i s used for the implementation of the control logic. The advantages of the p roposed method are illustrated by numerical simulations of a multimachine i nfinite-bus power system.
