Abstract
Bion has created new concepts and signs with the aim to be able to make sta tements about the formation of thoughts and the thinking of these thoughts systematically. This apparatus serves the sophistication of observation in the clinical situation to realize and to interpret disturbances of thinking . To that it is necessary to perceive and transform archaic ways of communi cation which become manifest in a changed psychic functioning of the analys t. - In a vignette it is shown how processes of splitting, projection and p rojective identification as defences against severe anxieties dominated the beginning of an analysis, before through introduction of a K-relationship it became possible to gain some psychic space.
