Abstract
The present work evaluates the distribution of major, minor and trace eleme nts in sediments sampled in Salerno Gulf(Italy). The metals determined are I;, Mg, Fe, Mn, Al, Cr, Co, Nil Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn and Hg while the analytical techniques employed are the atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and the di fferential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). The accuracy and pre cision, expressed as relative error (e) and relative standard deviation (s( r)), were in all cases less than 6%.
