Abstract
Carbon dioxide and carbon disulfide give crystalline cycloadducts with the phosphazene bond of a 1,2 lambda(5)-azaphosphole. The CO2-adduct fully diss ociates in solution, the CS2-adduct on short hearing only to a small part. On longer heating, the latter rearranges in two successive 1,3-shifts to gi ve a thiophosphinylimino dihydrothiophene, the structure of which is reveal ed by X-ray analysis.
