Abstract
An unusual cyanide-bridged helical polymer {[(eta(5)-C5Me5)WS3](2)Ag-3(CN)} (infinity) (1) was obtained from the reaction between (PPh4)[(eta(5)-C5Me5) WS3] and AgCN, which also gave a trace amount of an octanuclear cluster [(e ta(5)-C5Me5)WS3Ag](4) (2). The latter cluster 2 was prepared in high yield from the reaction of (PPh4)[(eta(5)-C5Me5)WS3] with [Ag(CH3CN)(4)](PF6).
