Abstract
N-cyclohexylmaleimide (CHMI) and styrene (St) were used to copolymerize wit h methyl methacrylate (MMA) to synthesize heat-resistant poly(methyl methac rylate) (PMMA) by a solution copolymerization method and a suspension copol ymerization method. Residual CHMI concentrations in the copolymers were ana lyzed by gas chromatography. Effects of styrene on residual CHMI concentrat ion, glass transition temperature (T-g), molecular weight, and molecular we ight distribution were studied. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
