Abstract
In order to identify the chromosomal assignment for the human indoleam ine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) gene, we performed the polymerase chain reac tion (PCR) using somatic cell hybrids and screened for the presence of amplified products. The results indicate that the human IDO gene can be assigned to chromosome 8.
