Abstract
A cDNA clone of the E3 isozyme of human liver aldehyde dehydrogenase c onsisting of a 1320-base pair (bp) coding region and a 180-bp non-codi ng region at the 3' end was used for chromosomal localization of the E 3 gene. Using a panel of human/hamster somatic cell hybrids we have lo calized, the gene coding for the E3 isozyme to human chromosome 1.
