Abstract
Conjectural bases for irreducible representation spaces of simple Lie algeb ras, due to Verma, have been described by Li, Moody, Nicolescu, and Patera. In this paper the basis conjecture for the algebras of type A(n) is establ ished. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics. [S0022-488(99)02504-9].
