Abstract
The ferromagnetic exchange-interaction model on the simple-cubic latti ce is studied by considering the effective Hamiltonian of a cluster of eight spins which form a cubic unit cell. Through the use of the Bogo liubov inequality and a group-theoretical method, thermodynamic proper ties of the model are examined. Critical parameters are then determine d for general spins.
