Ak. Grover et al., ELUCIDATION OF 3D-TO-2D TRANSFORMATION BY MAGNETIZATION STUDIES FOR H-PARALLEL-TO-C IN BI2SR2CACU2O8, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 220(3-4), 1994, pp. 353-358
New magnetization results (for H parallel-to c) on a single crystal of
Bi2212 elucidating the transition from a one-component to a two-compo
nent response across the 3D-to-2D transformation are reported. The two
-component response is identified to emanate from the 2D planes and in
terplanar links. The magnetization response above the transformation t
emperature T(s) and very close to T(c) is found to be irreversible in
contrast to the reversible behavior So far believed in. A new phase di
agram for the mixed state of layered superconductors near T(c) is prop
osed.
