Abstract
In this paper, a theoretical confirmation of the recently proposed generali zed material-independent PML (GMIPML) absorbers. which was devoted to absor bing waves propagating in arbitrary anisotropic dielectric and magnetic med ia, is carried out. The purpose of such a confirmation is not only to make the GMIPML more acceptable, but also to complete the GMIPML theory (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
