For the determination of heterogeneous charge transfer rate constants k deg
rees(ct), the working curve data from peak-to-peak splitting referring to s
urface and thin layer voltammetry given by Laviron were supplemented by an
explicit equation, where the electron number n is replaced by the "surface
redox valency" n'. The pH dependent peak potentials of Pyocyanine and Coele
stin Blue were measured at decreasing surface concentrations and extrapolat
ed to zero coverage. The plateau behaviour of the catalytical steady-state
currents with increasing numbers of multilayers of beta-Naphthoyl Nile Blue
at graphite electrodes immersed in NADH solution suggest good plane-to-pla
ne electronic coupling.
