Abstract
Both thermal conductivity lambda and specific heat c(p) of amorphous polyst yrene were measured in the temperature range 1.7 K < T < 300 K at three dif ferent pressure values up to p = 0.4 GPa. The thermal conductivity data sho w that the influence of pressure is most pronounced at the plateau of lambd a at 2 K < T < 10 K. Fit calculations were carried out to receive values fo r (P) over bar gamma(2) and W. As pressure is applied the specific heat is clearly reduced below T = 20 K. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
