Abstract
We calculated the linewidths due to electron-phonon coupling of the acousti c phonon modes in NbC within a first-principles linear-response scheme. We find a pronounced correlation between anomalies in the phonon frequencies a nd the corresponding phonon linewidths originating from details of the Ferm i surface. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
