Abstract
We present first principles calculations of the real part of the self energ y for the transverse optical phonon at the Brillouin rone center in GaAs. T he various contributions at zero temperature ape analyzed and discussed. Ou r result for the temperature dependence of the real part of the phonon self energy is in good agreement with the available experimental data. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
