Abstract
Enantiopure chromenoquinoline epoxides of established configuration ar e obtained by cyclization of their resolved bromomethoxy(trifluorometh yl)phenylacetates and provide a new route to geibalansine, O-acetylgei balansine, ribalinine, araliopsine, edulinine and related quinoline al kaloids.
