J. Svasti et al., Dalcochinin-8 '-O-beta-D-glucoside and its beta-glucosidase enzyme from Dalbergia cochinchinensis, PHYTOCHEM, 50(5), 1999, pp. 739-743
An isoflavonoid glucoside was isolated from the seeds of Thai Rosewood (Dal
bergia cochinchinensis Pierre), and the aglycone was shown to be 12-dihydro
amorphigenin, which we named dalcochinin. Dalcochinin-8'-O-beta-D-glucoside
is well hydrolyzed by Thai Rosewood 8-glucosidase (K-m 1.68 mM), but not b
y other beta-glucosidases, such as cassava stem linamarase, almond beta-glu
cosidase, or mustard seed myrosinase. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All ri
