Abstract
Two novel architectures, a cyclic dipeptide and a helical nonapeptide rich in alpha-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib), provide the rigid structural framework for the study of intramolecular, photoinduced electron tran sfer between two custom-designed redox alpha-amino acids (donor and ac ceptor).
