Abstract
This article describes some laboratory tests performed on each kind of slud ge located in an industrial wastes landfill. Measured physical properties a re: field capacity, hydraulic permeability, saturation water content, effec tive porosity and particle-size distribution. The laboratory apparatus is d escribed; the obtained results an analyzed to point out the possible correl ations among the examined parameters. The aim of this work is to provide a data bank for industrial wastes landfills useful to perform some applicatio ns such as the evaluation of the produced leachate quantity for landfills w hose wastes are similar to the ones here considered.
