Abstract
The incidence of adverse events due to meningococcal polysaccharide A&C vac
cine mas studied in 312 subjects 18 months to 20 y of age who were part of
a mass vaccination program. Fever > 38 degrees C occurred in 5.1% (95% CI:
3.1-8.4%). Injection site pain nas reported in 78.8% (95% CI: 74.3-83.4%),
was severe in 7.4% (95% CI: 4.7-10.9%) and was most frequent in the oldest
age group.
