Abstract
New molecular receptors with dibenz[c,h]acridine skeleton bearing functiona l groups complementary to malonic acids have been developed. Dibutylmalonic acid is bound in chloroform with Kass values between 10(2) and 10(5) M-1 v ia hydrogen-bonding interactions. The catalytic ability of several of these receptors in the decarboxylative reaction of this diacid has been investig ated. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
