Abstract
The competition between tributyltin hydride-induced cyclization and reducti on of a series of 6-bromo-2-hexenoates was explored computationally. Differ ent methods show that modification of the gem-substituents is not as crucia l for cyclization as once thought. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All right s reserved.
