Abstract
The steroid 3, with three independently-addressable, rigidly-positioned fun ctional groups, has been synthesized in an efficient, multi-gram sequence f rom inexpensive cholic acid 1. Compound 3 should prove valuable as a starti ng point for combinatorial libraries with preorganised, co-directed arrays of substituents. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
