Abstract
We show that any knot or link can arise as the real part of the Milnor fibr e in a flat deformation of an appropriate space curve singularity. However, it seems that to achieve knotting one needs a rather high Milnor number. ( C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
