Murraya koenigii leaf and Brassica Juncea seeds at 10% levels were inc
orporated into a high fat cholesterol diet and fed to rats for 3 month
s. The results showed pronounced hypolipidemic effect. The plasma lipo
protein profile showed that these spices reduced remarkably the levels
of cholesterol, triglycerides, phospholipids, low density lipoprotein
s and very low density lipoprotein fractions.
