FIRST ANALYTICAL INTERLABORATORY TEST FOR THE DETERMINATION OF PCP AND LINDANE IN INDOOR AIR ORGANIZED BY KRDL OF VDI AND DIN

PCP and lindane have been applied in many fields due to their fungicid al respectively insecticidal effects and have been used in different w ays, also as far as indoor environment has been concerned. A first ana lytical interlaboratory test was organized by the Commission on Air Po llution Prevention of VDI and DIN (Kommission Reinhaltung der Luft im VDI und DIN) in oi-der to determine the performance characteristics of the analytical methodes commonly used for PCP and lindane. These resu lts vary within relatively broad limits which has to be considered as usual taking into account that it was the first execution of an interl aboratory test and that the analytical method was chosen freely. The r esult underlines the urgent need for standardized analytical methods a nd for further interlaboratory testing.
