Abstract
In the solid state, the novel ligand 6,6'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridyl (dmb p), C12H12N2, is a planar centrosymmetric molecule in which the pyridy l N atoms have a transoid arrangement, by virtue of the symmetry.
