Abstract
In the title compound, C58H70N4Si2, the acetylene groups lie in the pl ane of the porphyrin pi system. The angle between the plane of each ph enyl ring and the plane of the porphyrin is 62.39(4)degrees. There are no pi-pi interactions between neighbouring porphyrin rings in the cry stal structure.
