The ground-state rotational Zeeman splittings of trifluorophosphine ha
ve been reanalyzed taking into account the relativistic Stark effect.
Negative signs of the g-values have been found detecting the Delta M-J
= 1 and Delta M-J = -1 absorptions of circularly polarized microwave
radiation separately in a longitudinal magnetic field. The g-values ob
tained are g(perpendicular to)= -(0.0663 +/- 0.0012) and g(parallel to
) = -(0.0470 +/- 0.0020) and the susceptibility anisotropy is xi(paral
lel to) -xi(perpendicular to) = -2.26(33)10(-29) JT(-2). g(parallel to
) deviates significantly from a previous experimental result. Analysis
of the (000(0)1(1)) rovibrational Zeeman effect has led to a negative
vibrational g-factor, g(4) = -0.0722(50). (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B
