Ninety species of myxomycetes are reported from Alaska. The majority o
f these records are the result of field and moist chamber collections
made in the central and western portions of the state during the perio
d of 1989 to 1995. Additional information on the source of the record
and the substratum upon which fruiting occurred is provided for each s
pecies reported from Alaska for the first time. The myxoflora of Alask
a is compared to that of other high-latitude areas of the northern hem
isphere.
